Welcome, gentle readers, to the very first post in the Dragon*Con 2011 blog!!!
Settle down, everyone. We've got a lot of ground to cover. For starters, this is your go-to point for information and advice about the South's, and possibly the world's, premiere sci-fi/fantasy convention.
We'll be providing a taste of the con for those who aren't that familiar with a creature such as Dcon, but we'll also have a few morsels for the initiated amongst you as well.
Case in point: Talk to your boss now about taking Friday off. This is not a con you show up at on Saturday morning and expect to get your registration in moments.
Even if you show up at 7:30 p.m. Friday, you're still saving yourself tons of time. Sure, the con may promsie a more streamlined method of registration this year, but do you want to bet three hours of your life on it?
Instead, get there Friday evening if you can and get your registration badge. You don't want to see the registration line Saturday morning.
